As a kid, this Nobel Prize winning chemist converted one of his family’s seldom-used bathrooms into his personal laboratory, where he’d conduct chemistry experiments. He carried this curiosity throughout his youth and eventually coined an idea that some compounds found in industrial and household products were having an adverse effect on the ozone layer.
